Feedback update ✍️💬

We’re excited to launch two new AI features this week, “Get feedback” and “Summarize.”

• “Get feedback” is like having a professional copy editor, on-demand. It generates style recommendations, points out parts that seem ambiguous, etc.
• “Summarize” is a great way to break down complex subjects, and can help simplify your writing

🛟 New Help Center!

We started adding some articles on how to use Boo.ai—hoping to add a lot more soon. We’re also planning to publish some guides here, like strategies for using AI for long-form content.

✨ Streamlined UI

Big changes this week! With a handful of new features and design updates, we’ve made Boo.ai faster, more powerful, and simpler to use.

Streaming suggestions

When using a custom prompt or the “Continue writing” feature, results are now streamed, which feels faster and more responsive:

New templates

We've added quite a few templates over the last week, including:

• Idea brainstorm
• Outline from notes
• Time off request
• Payment reminder
• Hiring candidate rejection/interview invitation

Better error handling

We’ve also noticed an uptick in errors coming from OpenAI which our UI wasn’t handling too well. We now handle these errors gracefully and provide different messages to explain the potential reasons.

New pricing & free plan

This week we launched new pricing plans, including a free tier for people who only need to write occasionally. Paid plans are based on usage (words generated) and include access to Personalized AI.

New plans

• Free: 2,000 words per month
• Starter, $8/mo: 10,000 words per month, and $1 per 1,000 words over
• Pro, $36/mo: 50,000 words per month, and $.50 per 1,000 words over

Personalized AI

Boo.ai now uses your own writing samples across all your docs to create smarter, more personalized suggestions.

Block level editing

Use Boo.ai to help condense, expand on, or edit blocks of text in your document.

Public sharing

Rendered as HTML, share a link to your doc with anyone. Includes opengraph image and friendly URLs.

A slew of other fixes and improvements.

• Copy doc contents as rich text
• New placeholder on empty docs to help you get started, with links to select a template or start a prompt
• Caching improvements
• Emails no longer display as encoded entities when hovered
• Settings now shows usage
• Trial reminder emails
• Added a theme selector in the user dropdown, to switch between light and dark
• App no longer flashes light version if you're using dark mode
• Registration links now last a day instead of an hour
• Fixed an issue where users would get logged out before their cookie expired
• Fixes a crash that could happen when swiping a paragraph with an autocomplete mode (or system)
